Closing Out 2025: Progress, Not Perfection. Setting Achievable Goals for 2026

As we close out 2025, it’s natural to look back at the goals we set with so much hope and intention and notice the ones that didn’t quite happen. But before you label those goals as “failures,” I want to gently invite you to look again.

Unmet goals are not the same thing as failed goals.

Sometimes they are evidence that you tried. That you stretched. That you moved.

And movement matters.

Progress Isn’t Always Linear

We often imagine success as a straight line: set the goal, take the steps, reach the destination. Real life rarely works that way.

More often, growth looks like two steps forward and one step back, and while it may not feel glamorous, it’s still progress. It’s still momentum. It’s still you choosing growth over complacency.

Trying and adjusting is far more powerful than standing still because you’re afraid of getting it wrong.

Look for How You Got Closer

Instead of only asking “What didn’t I accomplish?” try asking:

* What did I learn this year?

* What habits improved, even slightly?

* What fear did I face—even if I didn’t fully overcome it?

* Where did I show up for myself when it mattered?

You may discover that even if the finish line moved, you’re not standing where you started.

And that is worth acknowledging.

Celebrate Every Win (Yes, Even the Small Ones)

Before we rush into planning for 2026, let’s pause and celebrate 2025.

Celebrate:

* The days you kept going when quitting felt easier

* The boundaries you set

* The courage it took to try something new

* The consistency you built, even imperfectly

Big wins are wonderful—but small wins are the ones that change who you become.

Give yourself credit. You earned it.

Setting Bold, Soul-Deep Goals for 2026

As you begin thinking about 2026, I encourage you to dream a little bigger than what feels “reasonable.”

Set goals that feel:

* A little wild

* Slightly out of reach

* Exciting and terrifying at the same time

The kind of goals that make your heart beat faster because—deep down—you *want them badly enough to fight for them*.

Not goals you think you should want.

Goals your soul already knows are meant for you.

You’re Allowed to Want More

You are allowed to want growth.

You are allowed to want change.

You are allowed to want a life that feels aligned, abundant, and fully yours.

As we step into a new year, let’s carry forward the lessons, honor the effort, and move boldly toward what’s next—with clarity, courage, and compassion for ourselves along the way.

Here’s to progress over perfection.

Here’s to celebrating how far you’ve come.

And here’s to a 2026 that stretches you into the woman you’re becoming. ✨
